Tourism and Hospitality is one of the world’s fastest growing industries. A major contributor to most economies, tourism contributes over ten percent of Gross Domestic Product in an increasing number of countries. Yet as tourism expands globally, competition among nations and among destinations is intensifying. To tackle the challenges ahead, tomorrow’s managers need advanced marketing and management skills, as well as problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Our degree is designed to train the industry leaders of the future to operate in this complex yet stimulating environment.
Tourism and Hospitality Management is a marketing specialisation that provides students with a wide range of further employment opportunities. In addition to marketing courses and a rigorous core of accounting, economics and business statistics, students enrol in courses such as tourism policy and planning, human resource management, tourism and hospitality law, together with hospitality management for hotels, resorts and restaurants.
Students receive practical training at an approved training college and are required to complete at least 250 hours of industry work experience as part of the program, adding to the richness of the degree. Graduates find careers in international hotel chains, resorts, airlines and tourism organisations, both in general management as well as in marketing.

旅遊及餐飲管理是屬於行銷學的一門專業,提供學生範圍極廣的就業選擇。除了行銷課程、核心會計學、經濟及商業統計學,學生也會選擇旅遊規範及計畫、人力分配管理、旅遊及餐飲法律等等課程,加上飯店、度假中心及餐廳的餐飲管理。
學生將在經認證的訓練學校接受實作訓練,同時必須取得至少兩百五十小時的企業實習時數。畢業生的可任職的場所包括國際連鎖飯店、度假中心、航空公司或旅遊機構,管理及行銷兩方面皆可。

 

English Proficiency 英語能力門檻

UNSW recognises a number of English Language tests which can be undertaken to meet the University’s English language requirements. These are set out in the following table, together with the minimum results required.

The test must have been undertaken no more than two years prior to the commencement of the program at UNSW.
Normally, only original test certificates are acceptable. The University does not accept certified copies of English language results, other than recent IELTS tests, which will be independently verified.

English Language Test Minimum Requirement*

TOEFL – Internet-based Test (iBT) 托福線上 90 overall with a minimum score of 24 in writing. 總分90,且寫作不低於24
TOEFL – Paper-based Test (PBT) 托福紙本 577 overall with a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE). 總分577,且TWE不低於5.0

The paper-based test is not acceptable without the TWE. 沒有TWE的成績將不被接受

UNSW Institute of Languages University English Entry CourseUNSW 學院大學英語入門課程 (UEEC) Successful completion of the UEEC with a grade of C+ (grade point 7.0) and a minimum score of 20 in the writing component.

完成UEEC課程,成績高於C+(分數7.0)且寫作課分數不低於20
